1. Objective / Purpose
The CEBU TOURISM & HOSPITALITY AWARDS is a recognition granted by the Hotel,
Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu, Inc. (HRRACI) to regular employees and
establishments in Cebu’s hospitality industry that have displayed exemplary performance in their
respective area of responsibilities and shall have made significant contributions in the property,
community and to the nation as a whole.

3. Nominators
3.1 The nominations shall be endorsed by an active member property that is in good
standing with the association.
3.2 The nominations shall be endorsed by the HR Director/Manager, General Manager or
Owner of each property indicating a brief description on how the nominee has demonstrated the
overall performance of his/her present job. Standard Nomination Form will be provided.
3.3. The nomination will be deemed successful, once nomination forms have been
completed and once nomination fees have been settled.
3.4 The nominees shall accomplish the nomination form and submit the following
documentary requirements to HRRACI Office Manager email (hrracofficemanager@gmail.com)
on or before the deadline set by HRRACI Awards Committee:
- Official Nomination Form
- Recent Curriculum Vitae
- 2 x 2 Photo (with white background, in property uniform)
- Portrait Photo (in property uniform, high-resolution)
- Whole body photo with prescribed property uniform (high-resolution)
- Whole body photo in business attire, white background (high-resolution)
- Official Receipt of Nomination Fees
4. Nomination and Selection Process
4.2 The Awards Committee shall accept and evaluate the submitted documents from the
nominees or nominators.
4.3 The Awards Committee shall conduct further background check if deemed necessary.
4.4 The Awards Committee shall submit the final nominees to the HRRACI Board of
Trustees for concurrence and approval.
4.5 In the event that nominee will not qualify, he/she can still apply the following year from
the nomination date with pertinent requirements that meets the criteria.
4.6 All payments of nomination fees are final. HRAACI will not issue a refund should a
nominee fail to qualify based on initial criteria.
4.7 For the Individual Awards, should the nominee discontinue employment with the
nominating establishment for whatever reason, the nominating establishment has the prerogative
to provide a replacement nominee, provided that the re-signed employee did not yet undergo his
panel interview with Award Judges.
5. Selection Criteria for Individual Awards
5.1 Once the nominee has passed the initial screening, nominee profile shall be passed
by the Awards Committee to the set of judges.
5.2 The Awards Committee shall organize all nominees to present themselves to undergo
a rigorous panel interview conducted by the board of judges.
5.3. The total points earned by the nominee will be tallied, audited, and confirmed by the
Awards Committee.
5.4. Nominee who will get the HIGHEST POINT per Category shall be declared as the
final Awardee of the Category.
5.5. Only one (1) awardee will be declared per category.
5.6. Criteria for judging will use a points system as indicated below:

Must be able to send a 3-minute creative video presentation that introduces the company, its Mission-Vision, its core values, and on how its owners and employees live up to its company’s culture. Including a glimpse of front and back-ofthe-house areas will be a big advantage.

9. Awards Presentation
- All nominees will be acknowledged and will receive a Certificate of Nomination during the awards ceremony
- All nominees will be published in the HRRACI website//social media
pages/newspapers. - All awardees will be published in the HRRAC website/social Media
pages/newspapers. - All awardees will receive a Plaque of Recognition during the Awards Night. In the event
that the awardee can’t make it on the day of the awarding, a representative may claim
it on his/her behalf. - The award will be presented by the HRRACI Board of Trustees.
- The award will be held every November of the year.
